I have been one of Yaro Starak's blog mentees for a few months now and he is a great guy with a wonderful monetised blog who teaches others how to make money blogging.  He certainly doesn't promise overnight success at this but he does offer fab step-by-step quality instructions (including videos and audios) to create a powerful niche blog that will make money for you.

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else's blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that''s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

I'd like to share the story of Lorraine Armstrong and Share the Dream because it's a great example of how your blog can boost your business, even when it's already an online business you're running. 

And here at ReadySteadyBlog, we're proud to have been part of Lorraine's blog adventure.

Share The Dream, in case you've not come across it yet, is the online place to buy and sell wedding dresses and accessories and it's run by the abundant, the beautiful Lorraine Armstrong.

Lorraine's online business was doing pretty well but she felt she needed a way to connect more easily with her target market than she could do with just a conventional website.  That was back in January of this year - 2008.

The trouble was she knew nothing about blogging, least of all how to set one up from scratch.  She says:

"My greatest challenges when I thought 'I want my own Blog' were just about everything really.  I didn't know even what colour I wanted on the page. Had not a clue about RSS feeds or buttons!  No idea even how to set it all out.  I have many skills.  Alas, not the right ones to undertake blog building."
